Trekking in Doi Inthanon

Meet the Karen villagers and explore amazing waterfalls, valleys, jungle and farms on this hand crafted trekking tour in Doi Inthanon, an area with a unique climate and rich in biodiversity.

After being picked up at 8am we will drive south for 90 minutes to Doi Inthanon National Park and begin with a short stop at Wachirathan waterfall for your first taste of the amazing waterfalls in the area.

We’ll then drive to the start of the trek enlisting the help of a local Karen guide to explain the flora and fauna in the area as we walk the 5km trail through the jungle valley before descending into the village.  The valley is dotted with beautiful waterfalls and is shaded by the forest canopy keeping you cool throughout the journey and you’ll be able to stop for a swim in selected areas and if you’re very lucky you may hear the calls of the resident gibbons.

We’ll eventually reach the local Karen village and learn about coffee cultivation and enjoy some locally brewed coffee in one of the residents houses before lunch and returning to Chiang Mai city.
